I think thats a very important point GCMZ. We are so used to having a stubborn rock as our manager, one we know that no matter what he will still be around come next season. I really dont want to lose that feeling when the next guy takes charge. The Lippi/ Scolari/ Hiddink/ Erickson/ Mourinho type wouldnt be my ideal choice in a sense that potential years of service is very important to me and I get the feeling that guys in thir mould come and go. I mean, even if its a guy without the credentials of those among that list, I just want someone who is passionate/enthusiastic about the sport/the club, hard as rocks and one whose loyalty wont be swayed and will stick his nose in when necessary. Its probably obvious my thumb is pointing to the current Sunderland manager but really I just want someone to come in and set up shop for another quarter of a century.
