WTF are you talking about? I have Vista Ultimate x64 installed since December, and I've not even installed the SP1 yet, and it is more stable than XP Pro even with SP2, or ever will be with the soon-to-be-released SP3.

It is much, much, more secure, and my x64 is even more secure than that (I'd explain why, but I don't think you know jack about how an OS works), much more stable, much more smoother, and really pleasing to the eye.

I will be installing Windows Vista Ultimate x64 tomorrow, from the scratch, with a disk which has SP1 integrated.

@Fuckdoctor - I'd really like to know which of your programs don't work properly with Vista. And as for the drivers, as the saying goes, if a manufacturer doesn't have a drivers for the latest OSs, then their product is not worth using. MS has been in manufacturers' asses for so long now, that almost every hardware has a working driver.

Windows 7 is poised to make an entry in 2010 as far as gthe reports go. But like Vista, it'll be delayed time after time.

The reason why Vista has not been welcomed with open arms is XP. It has been 7 years now that XP has been out. ALL the softwares hence work for it, and the driver support is great. Therefore, when Vista came out, people were reluctant, partly due to it's demands of a high end computer, to run it smoothly, and partly because not all of their favorite softwares worked like the worked with XP, although I bet now they do. Every problem a n00b faced, he/she blamed it on Vista, and there are countless examples like "OMG my internets is not downloading" "zomfg, my gamzz are not running", when all of it happened because they applied "Tips and tricks for a fast Vista" or such available on the Internet or magazines, without knowing what it did other than "make their computer faster. All it takes is a Google search, and the problem is gone.
