"Jose has left for Milan for talks with Inter's directors," Parames told Reuters.
Current incumbent Roberto Mancini's future at Inter has been the subject of intense speculation ever since his announcement that he would step-down from his role at the end of the season, following his side's UEFA Champions League elimination at the hands of Liverpool earlier this season.
He retracted his statement the following day but it would now appear his unexpected announcement may have sealed his fate.
Having made no secret of his desire to manage in Italy or Spain upon leaving Chelsea, it would come as little surprise if Mourinho were to take the reins at Inter.
Mourinho's hugely successful spell with Chelsea saw him deliver two Premier League titles, two League Cups and an FA Cup.

Well, I guess Jose is the breath of fresh air that Inter needs.
If Mourinho gets the manager seat, I think Inter is up to a lot of changes. As well as other teams if they want to be able to compete with Inter (I am talking about Milan, Juventus ... ).
I wish him luck, though I kind of hated him for his arrogant style while he was managing Chelsea. He is a good manager, I could say a brilliant one.
