Default 4-4-2 or 4-5-1/4-3-3?

Thinking about campaigns in the 90's, and this years United squad, we have seen a shift in the tatical formations which Sir Alex Ferguson has brought out.

Sir Alex's 98-99 squad played a rather rigid 4-4-2 which provided some pretty incredible results. It featured quick a bit of counterattacking play, mixed in with a bunch of crosses into the box.

This years squad features a lot of interchanging parts in a 4-5-1/4-3-3 alignment. The interchanging along with quick passing and movement, long and short passing and counterattacking play has provided United with great opportunities to finish the campaign with some trophies.

Both styles have provided some entertaining football. So I ask you this. Which formation do you enjoy to watch and why [you can choose more than one selection]
