Internazionale led these rankings for much of the season but have now dropped to fourth after another stumble in Serie A.
Yet the nerazzurri look in rude health next to Barcelona, whose season has fallen apart completely. They drop two more places to seventh.
One of the biggest surprises is that Liga champions Real Madrid are as low as 12th - that position comes courtesy of their dire Champions League form this term.
UEFA Cup finalists Rangers prop up the table in 20th, while Zenit St Petersburg do not even feature after a poor start to the domestic season in Russia.
