Queiroz dispels exit talk
Queiroz: Staying
The most important thing is I'm happy.
Queiroz on United future
Quotes of the week
Manchester United assistant manager Carlos Queiroz has dispelled talk he is considering his position at Old Trafford.
Reports hinted Sir Alex Ferguson's number two had grown frustrated at The Red Devils and was set to make a decision on his future in December.
However, in an interview with Sky Sports News, the Portuguese coach has stated the quotes were taken out of context and that he is happy in Manchester.
Queiroz was instrumental in bringing the likes of Nani and Anderson to United this summer and is looking forward to helping the youngsters fulfil their potential.
Misunderstanding
"I was surprised when a friend asked me about that," he told Sky Sports News. "It's just a misunderstanding for sure.
"The most important thing is I'm happy. I'm very happy with my job and my position at Manchester United.
"The club is happy with me, so there's no reason to waste time talking about that issue. There's nothing to say, because there's nothing in it.
"At the moment we've made a lot of decisions with a medium and long-term in mind. We expect a lot of things from our youngsters that we've brought in.
"There are a lot of hopes and expectations about the future and to be part of that future is really a big challenge for all of us."
