i dislike using your 2) bullet point to defend united. I don't think that holds much water.

so are we buying into this theory that the Premiership is the imperialist league tournament of the world? you look at clubs like bolton, arsenal, newcastle, blackburn, even sunderland. how many of these clubs haven't bought all of their players. relative to other clubs do we have more starters from our youth system? i'd say yes. at least for now. add fletcher, wes, evans and o'shea to the list.
