Re: Which striker do you want brought into the United fold this summer?
i hear Huntelaar is amitting some united interest. Personally there could be a better player to sign (BENZEMA!) but i would much rather take the younger, cheaper, and arguably better? option opposed to berbatov, being the moody and 1 hour a game player he is.
i think Huntelaar is a really good player, yet he may contradict the playing style of our other forward players an revert us to a more 'ruud' style of play. but if we are surcome to selling Ronaldo and we are in need of a cheap solid stricker id go for Klass.
However ahead of all that (if we dont sign a top striker whether ronny goes of not) we should think about what we already have. Theres Saha, yeah hes always out, but if he has a clear patch he can provide us with a good bit of service and is a top quality player; and gives us an extra dimention to our game to boot. Then theres Manucho, depending on whether he gets a work permit, he looks like a strong squad player, who will perform when called upon; who knows but, if he was found out when he was about 18, maybe he could be a player on par with eto'o. Fraizer Campbell has been on hot form for Hull city last season, and he may be a worth a chance against some of the lower league teams. Similarly to Campbell, Danny Wellbeck has impressed in the youth ranks and with a game that has been compared to Peter Crouch's (but not quite as tall) he could also be worth a game against the lower league teams.
Looking into the future we have both Federico Macheda and Davide Petrucci, two young italians who have both had big name comparisons of Dimitar Berbatov and Francesco Totti respectivly.
So thats my opinion of our striker situation, think of it what you will. But i firmly believe our priority is a Right Back (maybe who can play Left Back also) and someone lined up to be a direct replacement for Ronaldo if he leaves. Maybe the likes of Quaresma or Cazorla?
