They are long term solutions but i doubt if they are good enough short term solutions. They have to get used to the premier league style of play...
The other teams have top finishers right now.

Don't cite Christiano Ronaldo. Not all players will reach his level. You remember he was very inconsistent in the first 2 seasons. You cant afford to have a very inconsistent striker in united now. The League wasn't as competitive then and you could afford Ronaldo (We didn't do very well then anyway).
We have full time replacements for Nani and Anderson( giggs/ronaldo , Carrick/Scholes ).We don't play them all the time.
One thing which might push the argument in favor of you is that United have a young squad and a young player will fit in.
"As United seek victory at Wigan to secure the club's 17th title, Ferguson has admitted for the first time that his priority is to find an experienced forward to complement his already formidable attacking options.
That will inevitably reinforce the belief that the United manager plans to prise Berbatov, the elegant Bulgarian striker, from Tottenham Hotspur.
Ferguson said: "We will buy in the summer. I'm quite happy with the one or two things we have done. In the striker department we have young Danny Welbeck, who's got a great future, and Fraizer Campbell, who's done a fantastic job on loan at Hull this year.
"We'll also have Manuchu back from Panathinaikos. He showed in the Africa Cup of Nations what a big, powerful striker he is. So, along with Carlos Tevez and Wayne Rooney, we've got planty of strength in that department. But we do need experience."

Nothing much has changed since then. That adds to my argument for an experienced striker.
