and yes i agree with the statement that United are 'buying' the league. It probably won't be a big deal because United just won the league and compared to Chelsea who came out of nowhere.
In order to compete, the club needs to buy players who are ready to play. no team is perfect in that they don't need to buy anyone and dont have any weaknesses. you can do that in two ways, promoting youth or buying. but if the youth arent ready then you have to buy. (i dont know the youth situation w/regards to united but if there are capable youth then i think SAF wouldve promoted them). it's tough when it comes to promoting youth or buying.
