I'll have to think on this one a bit. I remember when there was only one substitute allowed to be on the bench, and that was only in case of injury or downright lousy play.
It would give the managers a greater option to change the face of the game - considering you could have 3/4 of a team sitting on the bench. The bigger clubs could also "rest" their stars on the bench and only bring them on if needed. I know that can be done now, but with this change, you'd have the option of having two or three big stars that you really want to rest sitting on the bench ready to go on if things go pear-shaped.
My initial reaction was "If SAF thinks it's good, then I'm onboard with that!" but after some consideration, it probably would be a disadvantage to smaller squads. I've moved back to being on the fence.
