Well mate you cannot just judge a player with one performance. Even Ronaldo wasn't judged on the basis of one performance (its a myth that we bought Ronaldo because of that game, SAF himself confirmed that Ronaldo was on our radar for 2 or so years). Veloso is definatley a young and upcoming prospect but at the moment we don't need him, however if we end up selling carrick (which i am against, unless the fee is 18 million) the this would be the player I would like to replace michael.

Are you serious, he has never played left back, what you are believeing is paper bullshit, I have been talking to sporting and portugal fans for years now and they confirm that he can only play DM and RB (occasionally).

Well all that just based on one game, Carrick is a very important player, just one bad game doesn't make him the worst signing on earth. Once again judge a player on his performance over a year or so, Carricks passing ability and vision are both sublime.
