Willy Sagnol is on Manchester United's wanted list after making it clear he is leaving Bayern Munich.
With Gary Neville still to regain full fitness after an injury absence of more than eight months, United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has been alerted to Sagnol's probable availability for a knockdown fee in January.
The 30-year-old France defender would be a short-term solution to the need for cover at right back with his quality not in doubt.
Ferguson had him under close scrutiny last year and is now ready to make his move and give Neville time to complete his recovery.

30 is old, but he can still for a job at united i suppose. I am not sure we desperately need him to be fully honest though. NEville will apparently be back in 2 weeks or so and has been like that for nearly a year. We have Wesley Brown. We have Simpson. We also have pique, oshea and hargreaves who can all play in that position if we really need them to.
Sagnol is a very good player who still has some years in him, but i have to say, im not sure if we need him.
