I personally think that Bardsley doesn't have a future at United. I'm basing my opinion on his stint with Aston Villa and his stint with Rangers.
He should be sold.
As for Gibson, it all depends on how the midfield shapes out. Meaning, who stays, who goes. Centrally you have Scholes, Anderson, Carrick, Hargreaves, Fletcher, O'Shea. So it'll be tough for Gibson to crack the first team.

Campbell joined Hull on loan in October
Hull boss Phil Brown will do as much as he can in a bid to keep striker Fraizer Campbell at the KC Stadium until the end of this campaign.
The on-loan Manchester United player, produced a match-winning display in the 2-0 win against Wolves on Boxing Day.
"Anybody who scores goals is an important asset," said Brown.
"He is on loan until the middle of January and as far as I'm concerned it is a no-brainer - I'd like to keep him until the end of the season."
Brown added: "I will try to do as much persuading as possible, but the decision is out of my hands."
Campbell agreed a loan deal to stay with the Championship side until January.
