If a player is able to be tutored then you select 'Player interaction' from the side menu and then when you scroll to the bottom you have three options. Selecting one of these options will have an impact on the type of tutoring that takes place.

Tutor is a idea role model: Using this option you simply encourage your tutee to be just like the tutor. This is the most powerful of the 3 options, though is the hardest of the options to succeed. A completely succesfull role model tutoring, will change the tutee's mental attributes (both visible and hidden) to the level of the tutor's and he will pick up all of tutor's PPM's as well. Should only be used when player's are of a simliar personaility and perhaps even when the tutee respects or has a postive comment on the personal screen about the Tutor. (Side note: I've used this with VDS and Kasper Schmeichel and it works every time

Adopt approach to the game: Is similiar to the role model option though the impact of successful tutoring is less though the risk of the player's falling out or disliking each other is also less.

Learn from tutor: This is the lesser of the three options and gives small improvements/changes with the smallest risk of failure. Perhaps best used when player's have different personalities but similiar position in which you want to try and improve the youngster.

It is always good, at a later date once you have linked players, to go back to their, personal screen and look at what they think of being tutored, or tutoring that particular player. Putting two players together who clash may have a detrimental effect.

What age is needed to be tutor/tutored?

The tutored player needs to be under 21. Generally the 'learning' player should not be regarded as a first team/key player. The tutor must have spent some time at the club, older than his student and be in your first team squad.

Can a Player only learn from one tutor at a time?

Yes

Can a Tutor only take care of one player at a time?

Yes

Can player/coach be a tutor? Coach only?

Only a player, It is unknown if a player/coach can tutor as well.

What can be learnt? Only prefered moves? Only one at the time?

Some users have had one tutored player say that he learnt some mental disciplines, so a player could see some change in his attributes as well and learning one or more PPMs.

Is there a (maybe hidden) stat telling how good tutor is in tutoring?

It is regarded as doubtful. It is believed the success of the tutoring depends on how well the players get on.

Some players have a few prefered moves, so is it worth considering buying a few old stars only to have them tutoring?

It is possible but they do need to be in the first team squad to be able to tutor players.

It is suspected that buying loads of players just to tutor young players might not be a good idea as it could upset players if there's a lot of competition for his place in the team.

One thing to be aware of is that tutoring and tutored players will spend less time training, so their attributes might suffer a bit in the short term whilst the tutoring is happening.
There ya go.
