it didn't stop them booing him when he played for spurs.

They do have a very good academy but most the players actually mature and blossom after they leave west ham. That is why there are at times bitter towards them. Most of the time its just a bit of banter though.

Carrick was nobody for west ham, so was lampard. Carrick was nobody at the start of his career at spurs and so was lampard at chelsea. Both have gone on to play well (stretching the word with the lampard analogy), win international caps and domestic trophies. Perhaps lampard is more successful than carrick but still the point stands.

What i mean is that tevez will have nothing more to worry about than carrick (if he plays). Carrick will still be seen as a judas for moving to spurs even though he was shit.

in most cases time doesnt heal. Paul ince always got a bitter reception whenever he played west ham.
