I would personally like some clarity on the Tevez situation, because it is really hanging Rossi's and/or Smith's transfers in the balance. One more reason why I'm not too fond of Tevez coming to United.

I know SAF stated that he wants both Pique and Rossi to be with the first team, but you have to remember that these kiddies are ready to play. They really do have that much talent. I hope that they were sat down and explained what is going to happen with them at United and I pray that they are willing to fight for there places. I am really excited about both players futures here.

Napoli have expressed an interest in signing Manchester United forward Giuseppe Rossi.

The Italy Under 21 international is facing an uncertain future at Old Trafford after Sir Alex Ferguson hinted he could let the youngster leave.

Rossi spent the second half of last season on loan at Parma, who are desperate to sign the diminutive striker on a permanent basis.

Juventus and Milan have also been linked with the 20-year-old, while Napoli have entered the race, according to his agent Federico Pastorello.

A move to Napoli, who have secured a return to Serie A, would interest Rossi as a decision looms on his future with the Premier League champions.

"Giuseppe would be more than happy to play for Napoli," said Pastorello in the Daily Star Sunday.

"He cares more about the future and the atmosphere surrounding the team than about money.

"In any case, he is worth around €10million (£6.6million).

"I spoke to Napoli general manager (Pierpaolo) Marino a few days ago. I don't know if they talked to Manchester United about him.

"After what Ferguson said, Rossi will probably leave Manchester and many clubs, both English and Italian, are interested in him."
