He really is a top player IMO as well. But i think the key difference is here:
In England, midfield players hardly find time on the ball. Meaning they have to do something with the ball once they receive it or win it from an opponent. Sissoko's passing is horrid, i think partly due to the fact that he has to think quickly. Since he can't distribute the ball quickly enough, he turns out not to be a great DM in the English game. He'll be more suited for the slower Italian game me thinks.
