Thumbs up The Tactics & Training Thread - 10-25-2007, 03:53 AM

3 tactics that have worked well for me and 2 different sets of training schedules

One of the tactics is 4-3-3, another is a diamond attacking formation and still another requires a mc who likes to run

One of the training schedules is from mikedadude @ cmfrenzy... the other is from Tug @ sortitoutsi. Enjoy.

Will check out the training tactics. My current one seems to be working quite well but I'll see what others use and suggest.

@ dimz. It seems quite an attacking formation. Doesn't it leave you exposed at back, especially on counter-attacks?

Well i thought so when i first designed it, so i was thinking of just using it against weaker teams to bang in some goals. But not the case, i ended up winning the league by 15 points my first season and if i remember correctly i conceded the second least (behind Chelsea).

Having said that, this season sucks.

I'm stuck in 6th and a massive 18 points behind the Russians....i somehow can't score though

I used 4-5-1 formation for Man U, and it has done quite well for me. Its like this

Kuszczak
Neville Ferdinand Vidic Evra
Hargreaves Carrick
Ronaldo Anderson Nani
Rooney

I choose a basic designed tactic 4-2-3-1 formation and it seems to work well as the attacking potential is very high and the wing backs are pushed up front in the midfield to sustain the two basic on midfielders! This formation can be very flexible, you can change your formation in a suddenly 4-5-1 or 4-4-2 as the three attacking midfielders have to provide with balls the forward!

i use two different tactics, one for home and one for away games
i use this formation for both

--------------------------------------------------VDS----------------------------------------------

---o'shea/brown----------zapata/pique-----------vidic/samba--------evra/pander----

---------------------------------------------------^------------------------------------------------
¦
----------ronaldo----------------------carrick/hargreaves-------------------nani------------
¦ ¦
---------------¦----------------------------------------------------------------------¦--------------
¦ ¦
---------------¦----------aguero/rooney------------anderson/rooney-------¦---------------
¦ ¦ ¦
---------------v------------------v-------------tevez------------------------------v--------------

but i go attacking and quick play at home, whereas away i use a more patiet, possesion keeping style. but for both i have the 5 attacking players all set to short passing and lots of creativity, with quick play and the anderson/rooney possition set to free role. Emmulates our play very well in my opinion. Spreads the goals around between those 5 positions too.

im currently six points clear at the top, in january on my first season. tevez is the top goalscorer with 18 in the league.
