Tal Ben-Haim - 24 - Bolton/Israel - Sweeper/DC - becomes a truly kick ass defender. He costs around 4 or 5 M pounds depending.

Alexander Madlung - 23 - Wolfsburg - DC - a steal at <4 Mill. Works hard and is a team player through and through. Buy him now. He gets more expensive than a trophy wife later on.

Curtis Davies - 21 - West Brom - DC - costs about 6 Mill. Hard working player who gets better as time goes on.

Andrea Barzagli - 26ish - Palermo - DC. To sum this lad up in one word, Brilliant. Will cost around €9m-€12m most times but very well worth the price. He's strong, quality in the air and never lets you down. Good for a few goals also and is a threat form set pieces. Only real negative would be his pace, however pair him with someone with toe and you will be seeing a hard defensive pairing to split open.

Another bargain buy would be Digard, Schmoller, Anthony Vanden borre and leighton baines. All of them bassa's are class.

Arturo Vidal - Chilean roughly 6 mil quid, has the potential to be as good as Rio (According to scouts)
