Cool FM 2007 Strikers Thread - 07-07-2007, 10:36 PM

I'm using a format of name - age - club. Please note that all currency amounts I list are GBP (FM 2007 didn't have CDN. And more people know what a GBP is worth anyway )

Alexandr Kerzhakov - 23 - Zenith Peterburg. Costs around 4 Mill give or take (he is injured at the start of the game). Turns into a top quality finisher just needs a bit of polish & training (and TLC to get him off his injury and match fit).

Matty Fryat - 20 - Leicester. Costs 3 M or so. Needs some training to get Premiership ready (I kicked him to our feeder club his first season) but he turns into a helluva striker who'll get you buckets of goals.

Branamir Kosstadinov - 17 - Hearts U19. 200 k ish. Someone on the SI forums says they got 40+ goals a premiership season with this 17 y/o kid. I've signed him to test out but he's still on my feeder club team. I'll let you know how that went.

David Suazo - 26/27 - Cagliari. Looking for someone with pace but also the ability to be lethal? Look no further then this guy. Remember him from CM 03/04? Well he's just as handly in FM07. For around €10m-€12m he is well worth the cash. Willing to move around and even into a lower league if your the right team.

I'd also like to add Miroslav Klose...

He's a scoring BEAST... usually can get him for 12 - 15 or so M

No problem

Try to bring up Klose's positioning stat through training... the good news is

a) he can score equally well with either foot

b) he's great at scoring with his head

c) he's ace at setting up other players for goals as well

Eddie Jhonson is a nice bloke too, scores a lot of goals and is a speed demon.

Anthony Stokes - 18 - Arsenal (loan at Falkirk)
Positives - Excellent pace, acceleration, agility, finishing. Costs on the cheap, usually around 500K. His age is an obvious plus.

Negatives - Poor technique, a bit injury prone, but has an eye for goal and will drop down a couple divisions if you move for him. Well worth it at a smaller club.

Kenwyne Jones - 20? - Southampton
His attributes aren't fantastic but he can be a goal machine if you build your attack through him. Should be able to nab him for less than 1mil, or just loan him to see if he fits you.

Falcao (colombian, can't remember team at the moment)
Alexandre Pato (Internacional, Brazil)

Fuck it, just scout the entire Sub-20 South American Cup. There are so many talented youngsters it's ridiculous. And they are cheap.

All courtesy of DC.

I think his name is Celsinho. Young Brazilian kid, signed him and every time I gave him a match he scored. Only problem he was unsettled in England so I shipped him off to Real for some nice bucks.
