just shocking, probably his season over. Really sad to see that

taylor should get his match ban for the red card doubled imo.

Totally agree with the ref - red card. I think Taylor even deserves a 2 or 3 games ban for this kind of tackle. This injury reminds me of those 2 injuries of Cisse (one, when playing for pool and second whne playing for France).

straight reds come with a 5 match ban automatically. If you mean he should get more, then i agree.

This is probably not the worst tackle in the world but there has been a recent rise in leg breakers and its eventually resulted in a horrific injury.

The angle from the vid isnt great and doesnt show a great deal of intent but from the first pic, you can see he went studs up and his foot was somewhat high.

It looks like an ankle injury and if so then Eduardo and his doctor will have a hard time trying to get him back to normal. Ankles are pretty intricate and he will have damaged his tendons and ligaments pretty badly too.

That is a career ending tackle, i think Eduardo will be lucky if he recovers fully and Taylor should definitely be punished for what he did.

just horrible. he should receive a hefty suspension for that stupid and very, very dangerous tackle. I'm curious how much will it take Eduardo to fully recover, however I think that Croatia have just suffered a terrible blow for their EURO bid

P.S. DC that's exactly what I meant. 5 games for red card + 2 or three for the tackle. On the other hand, I don't think Taylor intended to tackle like that.

P.S.S. I wanted to see him playing against Moldova, but I don't think this will happen.

The result is certainly horrible. Taylor should certainly receive more than the mandatory ban (which I thought was 3 matches for a straight red) but the exact punishment would depend on the intention. If I could have seen the video before YouTube pulled it, then I might be able to comment on intention.

Wenger is calling for a lifetime ban for Taylor, and is saying the injury is more than just season ending.

Actually.. a straight red comes with a one match ban. If it is for violent conduct then it's 3.
