Wow, what a match between Arsenal and Liverpool.

I thought arsenal were better over the two legs but were just not good enough during periods where it mattered most.

I think walcott should have had a run out earlier and to be fair, he was great. He was also great against milan and imo he should have stated this match.

Torres' goal was immense, i have to say. Babel when he came on did some damage too. that penalty was so weak. I didnt think the hleb one was a penalty and this had even less contact. Imo a penalty is when a player is actually fouled, not when he is touched.

I feel arsenal could have won this if they were a bit stronger mentally because they have the players, skill and the chances but they just need to be a bit stonger mentally.

not taking anything away from pool who did well to chase the game and go on to win it.

Didnt watch the chelsea match but im sure Liverpool vs Chelsea will make a very interesting semi final, or not.

some media for the arsenal match.

Sad season over all if you are an arsenal fan .

Brilliant start en all that , after being written off to be fourth in the league , they fought with style .

We can rightly say that they were a lot unlucky through the season , a lot of injuries , but it is high time wenger gives up his fuckall ill-make-another-henry-out-of-a-mediocre-unknown-player policy , cos he would never do that ... it is 4 seasons and counting . I have felt the same and it hurts , but once again , arsenal have themself ot be blamed , for making gallas the captain , and for the pishtosh fabregas gives out on media ala did you play for barcelona ? liverpool did not try to play football ? and most importantly , arsene has to stop the selfpity shit which he makes his players give out every time .

I wouldn't be surprised if he says arsenal are unlucky , two penalty decisions all gone wrong , world hates us tosh . But he wouldn't come out and say that his defense was crap and toure and senderos were woeful with eboue being a liability forever in their team . They defended like championship time . One great thing they can boast for would be theo walcott .

Hoping that they dont trouble us at OT next weekend !

I agree. What a game. I thought Liverpool had undeservedly wrapped it all up after Torres' wondergoal, but Arsenal had an answer in the form of Walcott and Adebayor. But then Liverpool came back again and although I disagree with the penalty decision after having seen the replay, to be fair, I would have made the same decision if I was the referee; what excellent ('excellent' being a relative term here) twisting and turning acting from Babel! i enjoyed watching this game, especially, because I was happy to see either team make it through. If Arsenal won, great, because Liverpool lose (which is always nice to see ), but if Liverpool win, then it's good for United because it deflates Arsenal before the important EPL game.

"Collar turned up, back straight, chest stuck out, he glided into the arena as if he owned the fucking place. Any arena, but nowhere more effectively than Old Trafford. This was his stage. He loved it, the crowd loved him" -Roy Keane on Eric Cantona
