Barca's Messi set to face Man Utd
Messi was in scintillating form for Barca before his injury
Barcelona forward Lionel Messi is set to win his fitness battle for the Champions League semi-final first leg against Manchester United on 23 April.
Argentine sensation Messi, 20, has been named in the Barca squad for Saturday's La Liga game against Recreativo Huelva.
He tore a muscle in his left thigh in the Champions League last 16 game against Celtic on 4 March and has been recovering from injury in Argentina.
Barca are without Brazilian playmaker Ronaldinho for the rest of the season.
The 28-year-old, who has struggled to hold down a regular place this season, pulled a leg muscle in training last week.
Barca forwards Thierry Henry and Bojan Krkic picked up knocks in the European game against Schalke on Wednesday, while midfielder Andres Iniesta has a knee problem.
Portuguese midfielder Deco has missed the last month with a calf injury, but he may still be fit for the first leg.
The way i see it is that if you want to win the Champions League you've got to face players like Messi and Kaka to earn your name on the trophy. Anyway i reckon our defence has looked solid pretty much all season, i'm sure we can deal with him.
You've also got to remember that they'll be scared of the likes of Ronaldo and Rooney as well.
actually, he isn't being rushed back. He has been ready to go for the past two weeks, but Barcelona have been extremely cautious with this injury. He has had simliiar ones in the past, and the concern was muscle mass loss.
They let Messi go back to Argentina to get healthy and strengthen himself. Which he has done.
He's fine.

Nice, makes the matchup even more exciting. Kinda sad there wont be any Dinho but ah well. The Etoo's, Henry's and such should still make this a great semifinal matchup.
I'm predicting an Anderson goal somewhere between both legs, this will be his moment.
With Vidic and Rio back.. and they have a great game.. Messi shouldn't be too much of a problem.. we've looked great defensivley for the most part of the season and rio and vidic have looked awesome together..
SAF might have a problem of choices on who to play as right back.. gary neville or wes brown.. either way.. we're all set for a great semi-final.. why can't the clock go faster and we have apr 23 tomo..

As for Messi...i say bring him the hell on. He's not a defender, so this will make no difference whatsoever. Barcelona can't defend at all, and i personally back United's attacking charge to put them to the sword in both legs. As long as we play our game, i think this will be a relatively easy semi-final. Every Barca match i've watched in the past few months has involved the team playing against them creating a million chances. They are just too vulnerable at the back at the moment. And they are missing Puyol for the first leg, oops.
what a new ,messi coming back...sure a lot of thing to see during the first leg,and maybe a headache for fergusonif vidic manage to came back and fully fit,i think it should not be a problem for man utd in the denfence.cant wait till that day finally here..
