![]() 28/08/2008 Suazo Agrees To Benfica Move Inter striker David Suazo has allegedly accepted a loan move to Benfica after turning down both Sampdoria and Palermo. It seems that David Suazo has decided to agree to a move to Benfica. The Inter striker did not fancy a move to either Sampdoria or Palermo, but the Portuguese side are considered prestigious enough by the Honduras striker, who is willing to move away from Serie A if it means playing for a better club. The deal will most likely be temporary, a loan deal with the right to a purchase, which has become one of the most common transfer formulas in football nowadays. Sampdoria and Palermo will be disappointed with this news, as they both wanted to sign a major striker to reduce the gap with the big teams. Inter will not be unhappy about Suazo's departure, however, as it now paves the way for them to sign Ricardo Quaresma from Porto and complete the forward line. David Suazo was signed only last summer by Inter from Cagliari for around 10 million euros, but he has failed to shine with the Nerazzurri, scoring just 8 goals last season. However, it must be said he did not get much playing time either. Goal.com - Inter Milan - Suazo Agrees To Benfica Move what a great team we have for this season... ![]() Thanks Rui Costa! ![]()

Why are you upset? From what I've seen on this video, Benfica had a lot of opportunities, but Porto's were more clear ones and I'm amazed how they didn't score more that one goal.
There was a penalty, which should have been given to Benfica, the defender clearly hit the leg of Benfica's player, not the ball. Still, a draw with Porto is a good result I think. Was this the opening game?

it was the second game of the championship, second draw ... only 2 points earned on 6 possible.
I think we had a lot of opportunities and we did a good game until Katsouranis sent off, since there we couldnt do much better only with 10 players... and more of the same, the referees continue to benefit Porto, Cristian Rodriguez should have been sent off too, and there was a penalty that should have been given to Benfica. Good first official game for Jose Antonio Reyes, he almost score one goal... and unlucky Pablo Aimar get injured, i hope isn't too serious.
