True, but they had Henry for at least the first half of the season and he was a help to them and at least got them three points (v United in January) and I'm sure that he won them more points earlier last season.. I guess time will tell how much of an effect his loss has on the team..

Same thing was with ruud. He saved our asses and won us game but guess what happened when he left. Team became more unite d and closer as a unit. It was a blessingin disguise which can be same for Arsenal.

randy I don't think you really watched arsenal play and thats why ur making the assumptions you are. Arsenal suffered in the second part of last season because they lacked finishers. Both Henry and Van Persie were missing due to injury and Baptista and Aliaidiare were plain Missing!!! all the shots.. lol
Arsenal last year developed as a team and learned to play without a great dependence on Henry , they just lacked the finishing touch. This season the team would have grown and if Da Silva is a decent finisher they will have no problems IMO

Man United
Chelsea
Arsenal
Liverpool
Tottenham

ruud was causing constant problems. His general team play was quite poor as well. He was much more selfish than Saha.

i think you're all missing something from this arguement. How often have we seen teams loose their biggest player and then turn around and absolutely dominate or at least perform well above their previous abilities. It's a mental thing, and last year mentally they were always waiting for Henry. "Oh we'll be bette once Tierry is back." "oh we'll score the goals once Henry is back."

Now the responsibility is solely on their shoulders and these kids will step-up. The quality is there, and I'm surely not going to discount them. Henry is great, and has probably been the best striker in the premiership for a while now, but Arsenal will be better. This move had to happen sooner or later, and pschologically the team had to start trusting their own abilities and understand that they can do it without the captain (who was shit as a captain itfp).

I second this too . Now that they will realize that they are the masters of their own destiny, they will perform much better.

Manu
Chelsea
Liverpool
Arsenal
Spurs

Couldn't really choose between Spurs and Arsenal. Arsenal practically managed the whole season without Henry and they did quite well. They have quite young squad that has improved and also bought some good players that can make impact while Spurs signings have all been quite young and meant for future purposes. If Spurs buy two top quality players they could easily pass Arsenal but with current squad it hard to believe they can do it.
