Yes. why not? Look SAF bought Cantona from Leeds. How perfectly he fits to United play.
And look how Leeds fare after that? But I hate when our rivals bought our player. Especially player that symbolise United such Hughes.

WHile Cantona is a perfect example, Hughes is not. Hughes might have moved to Chelsea, but they were never, aren't currently, and never will be a legitamate rival. While granted this is a subjective opinion, it's one that is generally shared with most United fans. They have won too little in too long of a period of time to consider a rival. peter schmeichel was probably a better example.

That said, I have very little respect for their team, their management and organization, and in particular their ownership.

Coming from america, I hate to see players get transfered alot. It is one thing to move up the leagues, but to go from one of the big four to another starts making the game confusing to follow. One of the reasons I like foreign sports are that players tend to stay with a club.

Yeah, why not if we can use him and we need him. Right now the only two areas we probably need anyone are a right back to replace Gary over a period of time, he can't last for ever, and maybe a good-in-the-air centre forward poacher, a la Ruud, if Saha can't stay fit. Don't know how Sir Alex would fit him in but Adebayor would be perfect. Not that we'll ever get him.

No i could never accept a Liverpool player in the United team. I hate them all, just because we would have signed one of them and they would play for United wouldn't change my mind on them at all.

I gotta say no.

I don't honestly think we'd get the best out of a player from one of those rivals listed. The player will get a tough time from the fans for sure and that isn't gonna be an easy atmosphere for them to work in - thus they aint gonna give us their best. That being the case, we wouldn't have value for money and the player would devalue themselves to the transfer market by giving sub-par performances. Seems like a lose/lose situation to me - spend a fortune to end up with an average player.

I stated "depends". This because you just can't sign an influencial player (how Chelsea tried with Gerrard 2 yrs ago), but a forward or smth like that can always be welcome (take Drogba for example, he would be just too perfect).

about Richards, I think he's a good player that can become excellent. another bonus for me it's his english nationality. however as far as I know, he stated that Arsenal are his favourite team, if he was to ever leave City
