I disagree. He has provided some good long balls into the box in both matches against Arsenal and Lyon.

SAF is right when saying that nowadays players think more about money. Of course not all of them. I wouldn't like Brown to leave simply because he has been with United since he was a kid.

yes, it's upsetting and unbelievable that he wants to leave after all this years. however, this will probably force SAF to get smth better at back right, so it might just turn out good for us.

This is unbelievable. He's been with the club since he was 12 and they can't seem come to terms on a contract. From the looks of the $$$ offer, I don't see why Wes didn't take it. He could show some loyalty here. However, hopefully he moves his talent abroad or to a middle of the pack English club because he does have ability.

Hopefully Fergie will sign a top class defender in the summer because of this and United will be stronger than before. Thanks Wes for the years of service but you won't be missed.

I gotta agree with the naysayers here. I won't go as far as to say he's been dead weight this season but that's not far from the truth. He's severely out classed by his fellow defenders, backups included, and everybody saying how bad his crosses have been this year are absolutely right. From where I'm standing he surely wouldn't be missed at all.

imho, wes brown is much better than most people give him credit for.

for 50k a week, id keep him. who would you replace him with for that money?

is g neville ever coming back? and does he still have it? and for how long?

and what if something happens to rio or vidic?

seems smart to hang on to the guy if you ask me.

He is a very good playerd, good if he signs Of course he is good for substituting, but it doesn't seems that Wes will become a world class player.

Rooneyvn: for 45K a week, we arent hoping he will become world class. I am saying that what he gives us now at his current skill level is surely worth the money, no?

Mark: Pique looks promising for sure. But is he ready now? would you really start Pique or evans in place of Rio or Vidic if one was injured for our next big match, provided Neville was back in at RB?

It depends on the match, and the opponent('s forwards) - Pique is taller but I don't know if he's faster too; even if he's not, providing the fact that he is a threat at corners (unlike brown), I would! He has some experience, and overall (%) I think he makes fewer mistakes than Brown. Especially a Brown leaving at the end of the season.
However I would favour Wes instead of Evans, at least for now...
