Do you lot think that this could be the source of the problems?

I was just thinking that if Anderson had had more playing time recently he might have been more effective. Your thoughts?

Same thing about Nani. He hasn't played enough lately to perform well. On the other side look at Carrick. AF trusted him. He played regularly for a while and in the end he had played excellent, esp in the match against Tottenham at OT. And today, though his goal didn't change a lot, at least the City goal keeper didn't leave OT with a clean sheet.

It is in the sense that Fergie is playing the wrong people. Anderson and Hargreaves should be first choice. Scholes was shocking today.

indeed, can't understand how he managed to start with no (defensive) midfielder. anderson got plenty of matches while Scholes was out injured, but Nani definitely needs a lot more games.

I feel United are much more potent in the attacking sense when Anderson is in the game. He has great pace and vision. Even though he has no goals yet, every time he plays, he seems to create several opportunities for goal. Would like to see him start and play a bit more.

I feel if Nani had more time, he would become a lot better. Sometimes, he seems to be overwhelmed and can't create separation without some space. His crosses and long shots are deadly though.

I think our problems right now rest more in the fact we only have 2 strikers to work with as Saha proves yet again that we can never depend on him to be there when we need him. Giggs as a striker just doesnt cut it honestly, he just doesnt have enough pace or physical presence. His class shows alot bette ron the wings which I wish theyd stick to playing him.

Oh i did watch the match, and i went to the derby, being a season ticket holder, and Scholes was equally poor on sunday. He is not match fit and cannot be risked in big games like sunday, Anderson and Hargreaves have been brilliant together, Scholes doesn't deserve to just walk back into the team.

Anderson and Hargraves do work well together they seem to have a good balance look at the Arsenal match and the liverpool match but also scholes and carrick seem to work well together no only because we won the league with those 2 playing. fergie needs to stick to a pairing i don't think he nos the best partnship.

With our attacking play so potent we need someone like Hargreaves to sit in front of the defence, Carrick can't do it as his tackling is very poor. If we had Anderson and Hargreaves against Milan last season we would have won.
