FA investigate ref's decision not to punish Gallas

The FA are investigating referee Alan Wiley's refusal to punish Arsenal captain William Gallas for kicking out at Nani during Manchester United's FA Cup-tie against Arsenal at Old Trafford last month.

Gallas appeared to kick the back of Nani's legs after becoming aggravated by the young Portuguese star juggling the ball beyond the reach of Arsenal's defenders.

Wiley did not book Gallas on the day and FA officials are baffled that he has not since issued a retrospective red card.

I was baffled to see gallas kick nani, get away with it and have the commentators praise the decision "because its too late into the game". If its a red card mid-way into the game then it should be a red card at any other time during the game.

Good point there. They should have investigated it earlier. It's been two weeks already since the incident. If not a ban then at least a fine.

This surprises you? they have a history of fucktard captains and gallas is better than most. Honestly I'd let him get away with the kick if just got rid of that mohawk. It's just terrible, it really is.

OK, this is my first post but enough of all that (I hate it when people say they are a first time caller on phone ins, lol)

The FA should do something or else they are saying it is OK to kick out at someone (which he obviously did). He is a lose cannon. Just look at how he reacted to the penalty against Birmingham. I used to think Gallas was an OK player until the last couple of weeks (mentally speaking). And he's captain now so should set a good example to all the youth, especially as there are so many in Arsenal's first team these days.
