Ronaldo - Rumours make me mad
United winger happy to stay at Old Trafford

Quote:

Ronaldo: Won't kiss goodbye to United

Cristiano Ronaldo admits he gets angry when his future is speculated upon, but has stressed he is 'totally happy' at Manchester United.

Reports have again claimed that Real Madrid are preparing a bid to sign the Premier League's leading scorer, with a view to striking a deal in the summer of 2009.

United assistant manager Carlos Queiroz has already warned Real that there is 'no amount' which would persuade the club to sell the winger.

Ronaldo is trying to ignore the constant talk regarding his future as he looks to enjoy success on the club and international stage.

Waste of energy

"I just don't care what the whole world seems to want to say about me or speculate about my future," Ronaldo told The Sun.

"I've said it a thousand times and, by now, people should realise...I'm totally happy at United.

"I'm in the form of my life and I'm having the season of my career so far. So it makes me mad sometimes to read some of the things which are supposed to be related to my future.

"I get angry, but I'm trying to accept it's a waste of energy to be furious because it is not worth it.

"It's not by chance I've ended up at United. I always showed that I had the basic talent and commitment to become a professional player.

Massively demanding

"Then my development here has been aided by the support and the correct environment for my talent to develop. There is an attitude of hard work here that I need and like.

"This season is massively demanding on all fronts, personally, for United and for Portugal.

"So what I'm trying to do is set everything else aside and be ready to give my utmost in every match from now until the end of United's season and then into the European Championships with Portugal.

"If I'm performing at the best level of my life, then it's not by fluke. Far from it - I've worked damn hard to try and achieve exactly that.

"I'm pushing myself mentally and physically. I'm working constantly to better myself - it's for those reasons alone, and not by luck, that the results are coming and the goals are flowing."

credit to him that the speculation hasnt affected his performance on the pitch. Tbh, its all in his hands. He can ask for as much as he likes from any club, who wouldnt take him?

Just read it me self. I'm glad Ronaldo has said something about this. Any doubters who think that Ronaldo may still leave for Spain should now realize that he loves being at United. Unfortunately, no matter what anyone says, the rumors and transfer speculation will continue.

You can be like Ronaldinho and feed the speculation and get the most attention, or:
You can be like Ronaldo and tell everyone how pissed off you are about the whole damn thing and that everyone should just stfu and watch him own.

i'm very happy to hear that, he has taken o good decision to came out and say that because it settles the fans and everyone a little bit and shows that if United want to keep a player they'll keep it indifferent the amount of money will be offered in exchange (if that was still a doubt).

after this isn't any doubt about his future and that it's a good thing we'll stay more relaxed after EC because we'll now that he'll be back.

Great decision Cristiano.

I'm glad that he has admitted his love and pasiion to united. And has said that he wont leave just yet. But i doubt very much he will stay here for to long he has got lots of clubs interested in him. If he ends up declining more offers from other teams in the future then he must be mad.

I'm glad that he is happy at United. You can see his dedication to the club. I love that he's not swayed by all these transfer talks. He's become so mature in the midst of this all. Oh Ronny, I love you.

Speculation over future leaves Ronaldo angry

Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo has admitted he gets angry reading speculation about his future.

The Portugal international is currently in top form, scoring 37 goals this season, and links with the continent's leading clubs are never far away.

But the 23-year-old has stressed once again he is happy at Old Trafford.

'I just don't care what the whole world seems to want to say about me or speculate about my future,' he told The Sun.

'I've said it a thousand times and, by now, people should realise...I'm totally happy at United.

'I'm in the form of my life and I'm having the season of my career so far so it makes me mad sometimes to read some of the things which are supposed to be related to my future.

'I get angry but I'm trying to accept it's a waste of energy to be furious because it is not worth it.'
