Has Carlos Tevez's late equaliser against Blackburn just ensured that the title returns to Manchester? If Chelsea are to pip Fergie's men they must not only beat Man Utd at Stamford Bridge next week but hope that Wigan or West Ham can take a point off the Old Trafford side. Consolations for Avram Grant post the Blues' Sky-induced points drop at Wigan on Monday? The sight of Wayne Rooney limping off, and the hope that Barcelona will give Man Utd two wearingly competitive Champions League games in the weeks' ahead.

At the other end of the table Fulham's defeat at Liverpool leaves them five points adrift of safety and all but relegated, but who will join them? Bolton dragged themselves out of the relegation zone with a 1-0 win at Middlesbrough, Gavin McCann's goal gave them their second straight win and put them a point clear of Birmingham who must now get something against Aston Villa in the second city derby. Meanwhile, Reading were sucked further into trouble as Steve Coppell's much changed team were easily defeated by Arsenal and must now face a still-not-quite safe Wigan at the JJB.
Whatever happens at Stamford Bridge Man Utd will win the title if they beat Wigan and West Ham, is it now safe for Sir Alex get out the Brasso?

No, and I think the thread title is a spoiler anyway.

By the way, it's StaMford Bridge, not Stanford Bridge.

Football is not an exact science... Anything could happen because Chelsea, west ham and wigan are not easy teams to play against...

But the title will surely be decided at stamford bridge..

But one thing, united should concentrate on every game as nothing is granted till now...

We haven't won against West Ham for quite some time and Wigan are very determined not to relegate, as they demonstrated against Chelsea, so I think the best way to secure the title is a win at Stamford Bridge: we'll have two victories against them, so there would be no way for us to lose the title.

I think its a bit naive to think anything is guaranteed in this game of football. I'll pass on the premature celebration and wat until its official.
