Default Red Devils ace Nani sorry for dismissal - 05-06-2008, 02:28 AM

Its rumoured that he was fined 2 weeks wages [60k pounds] for his shambolic red card.

Man, when I watched it unfold I was just stunned. Which was worse. The headbutt or the playing acting?

He needs to smarten up. Folks around here think he's ready to overtake Giggs on the depth chart. He still has some growing up to do.

Quote:
Nani has apologised for being sent off in Manchester United's 4-1 weekend victory over West Ham.

The former Sporting winger was foolishly sent off on Saturday for head-butting Hammers defender Lucas Neill.

United were in control of the match at 3-1 up, although his dismissal failed to hinder his team-mates as Michael Carrick's second half effort wrapped up the win.

Nani has now conceded his actions were 'thoughtless'; however, he maintains his innocence, claiming he was provoked.

"I recognise my action was a thoughtless one," said Nani. "But I also have to say I was provoked and attacked.

"I regret what I did and want to publicly ask for forgiveness."

I think he was sorry for what he did from the moment he saw the red card.

Anyway, he did well by apologizing publicly.

I agree with what everyone says about how childish it was to do that.

On the other hand, i cant think of any one person who deserves it more than Lucas Neill. He turned down a move to liverpool to go to west ham, just for the greater wage slip.

He should learn from errors.. that will surely help him..

Taking giggs place is not any easy thing, remember that giggs has not got such reaction on the field.. could someone help me, has giggs ever got a red card??? i dont think so...

Thats good that he did apologize.. he has a long way of progression...
