Well it's a bit sad to see players like Giggs and Scholes fade gradually but it's also exciting to see new players fill those spots. It's something fans of most other clubs don't get a chance to see, 2-3 generations of great players brought up by the same manager it's like watching a tree grow, then shed it's leaves and grow more.
I'm certain Giggs and Scholes will play an important role at the club for a season or two more as players and, as a lot of others in the past, later on as part of the staff. They will play less and less, a half then 25 minutes in the end they will stop but it's always a pleasure to see Giggsy make a run, or Scholes organizing play. They're a great inspiration to both young players and fans.

I love the idea of a testimonial match with old players vs. new, would be a fantastic game to watch, great ideas for the rules too! No way all the old guys could keep up with the likes of Ronaldo, considering the rest of the premiership has a problem!

I hope that Giggs and Scholes will still get their fair share of gameplay minutes next season. It kinda gets me down all this talk about their careers ending in the near future, but then again, I`ve got to face the facts, in football 33-34 is retiring age and 40 is way too old. Still I hope to have them in the team for at least a season, they are still as magic as ever, just watch their goals this season, Ryan against Villa and Paul against Barca.

giggs will be on the bench for almost all the games .. think scholes wont play as much but will be a starter .. giggs could be used as a sub ..
hate to see them near the end of their playing careers , giggs is taking up coaching for sure .. he has talked about getting his badges .. not sure about scholes .. does he still want to play for oldham ![]() |
