It's a long season and this slow start will not phase a veteran tem like United. This is deffinatly something they can turn around. Once they find the back of the net a few times things will get back on track.

Evelated for sure. I was expecting a blip in forum come late December, January. Definitely not now. We need to get it together asap.

Since I don't rate City, 7 pts isn't a big gap. But 5 the pts which Chelsea have over us is a concern.

Time for United to get there asses in gear.

We'll be ok. No season has ever been determined this early. If the current situation doesn't change by say, October or something, then we have a problem, but I am reasonably confident that things will pick up, beginning this weekend.

Backs to the wall makes for a better story come the end of the season, anyway.

well i personally am freaking out a bit. I'm generally pretty level headed, but i don't like going up against spurs and keano. not when we need the wins so badly. we need to step it up now, because we have some massive games in september and october, and a little moment really is necessary when you face the bigger teams.

And those massive games are when we will see a true pattern of how United will play develop. If my memory serves me correctly, there have been far more occasions when the team stepped up and showed what the badge is all about than when they fell short.

Just last season alone:
Roma
Down 2-1 to Milan at the half
Down 1-0 to Blackburn at the half

And other times over the years:
'01 Down 3-0 to Spurs
'00 Down 1-0 to Fiorentina
'99 oh gosh......so many games that season. Pretty much the entire knockout segment of the Champions' League and that semi vs. Arsenal in the FA.

And my personal favorite:
'84 Down 2-0 to Maradona and Barcelona.

Glorious results all. And all when we desperately needed positive results.

With Ole gone, and reading this morning that Saha's return may be put on hold yet again combined with the fact we cant work Tevez like a slave every week, I am quite a bit concerned. For me, no question about ti we have to make a move and very soon.

I read this earlier today...

Quote:
"Manchester City will have to pay £10million to land Brazilian strike ace Adriano"
Hello? Like him or not 10 m for a player with such an upside if you work with him is a tremendouse price. I'd be on that like white on rice. We probably were missing another striker even before the Ole injury and if we really want Berbatov and have to wait til January I think we should try and get this guy. Even if he gets displaced if Berbatov arrived he would still get significantly more pitch time than he would get if he stayed at Inter plus who knows, he may turn in some great performances and we wont have to break the bank on Berbatov and opt for a younger/cheaper striker instead. From my perspective we could probably do that now. 10(Adriano) + 12(Martins)=22 m wouldnt even be that bad a deal now if we decided to go for it.

On a side note, with Chelsea moving more Ronaldinho for what I have read could be as much as 85-90 m gbp...that definitely adds to my panic level. 200,000 a week is alot of money and I couldnt argue with him if he accepted it cuz I probably would.
