Is Giggsy over the hill?

yeah funky and I were talking a little bit ago and we were both a bit concerned with the form of (at least in my mind) the greatest United player of the last generation. Of course Giggs had a few surprises for us in the last campaign with a marvelous september and october. Last year there were so many doubters, at a time when of his colleagues, only Gary Neville could say he'd been part of the Fergie Fledglings. Paul Scholes had just suffered through an eye condition, which to this day is baffling, Ole wasjust recovering from another knee injury, and Roy Keane had simply retired. This week it was Ole Gunnar Solskjaer turn, and again we begin to hear the echos of "Is Giggs over it?" I'd like to specifically look at Ryan Giggs and try to pinpoint exactly why his form has been so poor. It's hard to say it's motivation, but I can't discount it either. Could it be the lack of striking options at United? Playing out of position should be just part of the job, and while Giggs would have to be placed up front, it should not be such a foreign position for the lad.

I'd like to hear your thoughts...

I think that Giggs cant play anymore at the wings at the same level as it did before!!!Playing a central role i think it is the best position for him but it is already overcrowded by scholes,hargreaves and Carrick!

I think it shows the class of a player who relied on pace in his hayday, to adapt his game to stay on top.

Giggs is pure class end of story. Hope he becomes our all time appearance record holder.

A couple of seasons ago when we had no midfield and Fergie was trying Alan Smith in there we were awful. It was the first time i'd left Old Trafford feeling i wished i hadn't bothered. But Giggs was put in the middle, and he helped transform us.

Must admit i had my doubts but you can see Giggs reads the game so well which is so important. Last season he was fantastic with him, Rooney and Ronaldo interchanging in attack and tearing teams apart. It was a joy to watch.

And i wouldnt single out Giggs for poor form at the start of this season. The whole team has been poor to be honest. He will come good in the end just like the rest of them will. Fergie will make sure of that.

I'm sad to see Ole move into the shadows at Old Trafford as a coach but Giggs still has alot to offer and has much needed and unrivaled experience with so many young players at the club.

Giggs pass against chelsea which carlos tevez headed home showed what a class player he is and also showed how can experience help in such big matches..
Giggs all the way to be all time manchester united top appearances.

Giggs is not past it.

I have to admit that he has definitely been out of sorts. But I am confident that he will turn it around.

For every bad performance he has had this season, there were glipses in those games of the true player he is.

The team isn't completely clicking as yet, so I think we should reserve judgement about this until that time occurs.
