Players on Loan Watch 08/09

Just thought id make this thread to keep track of all of our players on loan's progress.


Danny Simpson (Blackburn Rovers)
Lee Martin (Nottingham Forest)
Tom Heaton (Cardiff City)
Craig Cathcart (Plymouth Argyle)
Febian Brandy (Swansea City)
Frazier Campbell (Tottenham HotSpur)

In all honesty, the only one really of intrest to me is Danny Simpson's progress.

If Im being honest I dont think ANY of those players will make it at United, which in a way is sad but thats life I guess. Saying that, I still take an avid interest in all of them cos they are still United players.

Lee Martin scored an absolute peach of a goal last weekend. 25 yard rocket into the top corner as his team Forest won 3-2. Simpson and Brandy were unused substitutes. Craig Cathcart didnt play and Heaton's team drew 2-2.

Spurs' UEFA Cup match-winner Darren Bent thinks that new recruit Fraizer Campell can take Tottenham to another dimension.


Bent, scored at White Hart Lane last night to hand Tottenham a 2-1 win over Wisla Krakow - their first victory this season, said: “Fraizer was excellent, he gave us a new dimension when he came on.

“We got more comfortable as the game went on. It was a much improved performance.”



Campbell, who is on-loan from Manchester United and provided the pin-point cross for his strike partner to score, added: “It was good to finally make my debut.
“It’s not been difficult for me to settle here, it’s just been a matter of being patient and waiting for the chance.”

Hmm, the fact that he's enjoying it might not be that good. By the end of his loan period he might want to stay. If Ramos will be pleased with Fraizer, he might try to persuade the boy to ask for a transfer to Spurs. I think United should watch him closely.

It should be noted that Frazier Campbell scored a delightfull brace for Spurs in the Carling Cup to move them on to the last 8. He has also recently scored for England on the international scene. He looks in very good form at the moment.
