FFS he's 65! how does this not surprise me. after being just there i wihs i had stayed for another week. I was actually at Euston station myself.

I don't know why the mentality of people outside the US is so willing to raise their hand against another, purely because of sport, but fuckers need to be taught some manners. 65!

so is SAF on the injury list? how long will he be out?

A 'fighting drunk' has pleaded guilty to assaulting Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson at City of London Magistrates Court.

Kevin Reynolds, 43, admitted punching the Scottish tactician in the groin and head butting a police community support officer.

The attack took place on Monday shortly after 4pm, when Sir Alex was waiting for his driver outside Euston Station in central London.

Ferguson, who was in London to attend a function, initially thought the man wanted money, before being struck, in an attack that left him doubled up in pain.

The court was told on Wednesday that Reynolds said "I'm sorry Fergie. I did not know it was you," following the attack.

Reynolds' defence counsel, Adeola Olowu, claimed her client did not think it was Sir Alex and had accidentally struck him, jokingly, while shadow boxing.

However, sitting magistrate Daphne Wickham said: "I do not think Sir Alex Ferguson saw this as a joke."

She later went on to describe Reynolds as being a 'fighting drunk'.
Reynolds, who pleaded guilty to two counts of racially-aggravated public order, one common assault and one count of actual bodily harm, has been warned he could be jailed upon sentencing at a later date.
seems like theyve taken action pretty quickly, i wonder if i was punched in the balls the same would happen to the guy who punched me.

i hope he is ok and its not too bad, cant really chose a worse place to get punched tbh.

next time he should go out escorted by rooney and vidic, id like to see who would go near him then...

Man jailed for attack on Sir Alex

Sir Alex was in London for a function when he was attacked

A man who drunkenly assaulted Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson at a railway station has been jailed for 15 months.

Kevin Reynolds, 44, admitted punching Sir Alex in the groin before headbutting a police community support officer at Euston station last month.

Reynolds, originally from Fife, Scotland, was sentenced at Southwark Crown Court.

Sir Alex is not believed to have been badly hurt during the incident.

Sir Alex later told police in an impact statement: "He really gave me a whack. At the time my natural instinct was to react and defend myself.

"However, I decided against it as I did not know if he was carrying any weapon and might come at me again."

He added: "This is not something I expect to happen to me when I am going about my daily business and it completely stunned me."

Reynolds, who was branded a "significant risk to the public", spotted Sir Alex outside Euston railway station, staggered towards him and delivered a single blow.

His "stunned" victim promptly doubled up in agony and, as he fought for breath, managed to gasp: "What the hell are you doing?"

Reynolds promptly insisted: "I'm sorry Fergie, I didn't realise it was you."

But almost immediately afterwards he held out his arms and started shouting: "Fergie, Fergie, shut your mouth."

Reynolds, who had been binge drinking on vodka and lager, then butted and racially abused a police community support officer trying to detain him.

Other officers quickly arrived at Euston Station and overpowered him.

Reynolds' criminal record features a total of 146 convictions, including many for violence, over nearly a quarter of a century.
