Default Carling Cup- Coventry City

On September 27th Manchester United fielded a reserve team against Coventry City. They went on to lose the match 2-0 and the team were crtiticise widely.

The team that night was: Kuszczak, Bardsley (Brown 45), Evans (Carrick 56), Pique, Simpson, Nani, Martin (Campbell 45), O'Shea, Eagles, Dong, Anderson.
Subs Not Used: Heaton, Eckersley.

Many of these players were loaned out and a few stayed put. Since that day nearly all the players have answered the critics and put in good performances.

Kuszczak- Has made quite a few starts and apart from his poor game against Everton has done reasonably well against teams.

Bardsley- Bardsley went on to join former United star Bryan Robson and has put on some very good performances for Sheffield United and Bryan Robson has been reportd as wanting to etend the loan or sign him permanently.

Wes Brown- Is currently a starter and is playing decent stuff. Hope he stays as Simpson is not ready to step up and Neville is injured.

Evans- Recently has been arrested and bailed for rape allegations but the young man has put in a good performance against a good Roma side and will definitely be one for the future.

Carrick- A bit worried as he ha yet to show the form that made him one of our best players last year. Hope he can do it though and prove he is worth £18million like we paid Spurs

Pique- Gerard Pique has scored 2 goals in Europe already and has put in very good performances against Roma and Aston Villa. He is definitely someone to watch oput for in the future.

Simpson- He made his Premiership debut against Wigan serving up a delightfully floated ball for Wayne rooney to head home and has made some other good perfromance like against Roma.

Nani- He has improved considerably since then and has improved on things like passing straight away and he seems to have similair play to our very own Ronaldo. Can imagine both of them terrorising teams on noth flanks.

Martin- Currently on loan to Plymouth Argyle. He has scored 2 goals in 10 games. He was praised by former Plymouth manager Ian Hollaway who wantd to extend his loan.

Campbell- Fraizer Campbell has had a delightful time in his loan at Hull where he has scored 6 goals in 13 games. Hull have already made public of their interest in exending his loan.

O'Shea- I won't talk about him as he's one of the few that's a good player before and after.

Chris Eagles- Hasn't had too many games after that night but looked alright against Roma.

Dong Fangzhou- I have nothing to say about this guy apart from not sure if he is United material. Can see him being offloaded in the future.

Anderson- One of the most improved players since that night. He had a shocking game but has showed his worth when he took on Fabregas and Gerrard and controlled both the attacking giants.

Apart from one or two players our team from that night have shown that that night has made them stronger. Good luck to all of them in th future. Maybe some stars in the next few years

the one that i can guarantee will be heading out the door is dong. he's shite imo.

as for Kuszczak i've said on many occassions that he's too prone to mistakes from set peices, to the point that I'm not comfortable with him.

Campbell is absolute class, but i'm not so sure how much i rate his finishing. He definitely has the speed.

Pique of the rest is the one with the greatest hope, but he's been shakey in his first team starts and at one point needs to show me some maturity. With defenders and goal keepers it is all about maturity and composure, and he's had his moments where he's looked like a fish out of water.
