The issue to me regarding ronaldo is will he stay if Sir Alex retires? I wouldn't sell Ronaldo for any price, because United winning is all I care about. 400million is an instant "no"... because you cannot replace him. He will go down as one of the top 5 players of all-time when its all said and done. I love watching him play and that means staying in a United shirt.
All that being said I think he'll leave in about 3 or 4 years.
I vote 7.I believe though that it is propably Ronaldo leave the team when he be around 27 because he will want to play to another league and team and dont spend his career at one team
sadly i have to say that almost sure he'll leave Man Utd in 2 or 3 years because the temptation of Real Madrid and Barcelona, the tempation of playing in Spain, his dream like he said, is to big.I can't say that he is not loyal to the team...but he's as loyal as Ruud in my opinion...he left for money...him and Beckham. I hope i'm wrong...
I think Ronaldo is a very good United Player (as far as committment goes), but where he grew up and the romance of Real Madrid are certainly a draw to him.
He is the player who won the title last year and is on the road to do so again this season.
Credit to him, huge talent, great ability. Amazing scorer and just great all around.
But sometimes the attitude is not right. The comments he made last December at the Player of the Year awards about how he would like to play in Spain one day is just one example.
He is really priceless, but he wont be at ManUtd 5 years from now.
Beckham was an Englishman playing for the biggest English club. Ronaldo is Portuguese and was caught in a controversial situation with a beloved Englishman playing for the biggest English club. He doesnt have all his family/friends and all that in England so if he thinks the fans, the club and the media seem to not be behind him for whatever reason then I can understand him wanting out of the country. I mean, its not as if foreigners are given the same warm treatment through and through as supporters give their fellow countrymen. You dont have that same loyalty through your nationality.
As far as loyalty goes, I'd give him a 6.5 ath this pont in time which I rounded up to 7 in my vote. As I see it now I think he realizes there really isnt any club out there that could provide him a better envorinment/situation than what he currently is in now at Manchester United. The freedom that he is allowed at Old Trafford he wont get elsewhere I feel. We give him a very long creative leash playing in the best league in the world and I just dont think there are many managers out there at the bigger clubs outside England who would tolerate the things Fergie does for his sake. He realizes he has a great thing going and even though he still has an air of arrogance about him you can see he has began to accept his teammates, the club/the fans as family. You know you got it good when players out there begin to consider the prospect of playing alongside you in a positive light in considering a transfer.
With all that said I do however think the most likely instance where he would leave will be when Sir Alex retires. If he doesnt leave at that time then I think he'll be with us for the course of his career.
I admire United squad as much as anyone of you, but Ronaldo has a class apart from any other palyer in the squad at present whihc is evident from his goal scoring form for the last two years. However, without those 10 players around him, it would be pretty hard for Ronaldo to express himself on the pitch the way he has. Therefore, we should be happy to have such great talents playing for us for as long as they possibly can. I rate his loyalty to the club at present more than that of Gary Neville's because not only is Ronaldo playing for us with all his heart and ability, but also doing his best to score a goal or three to win us every game. But, for the long term however, I rate his loyalty 8 out of 10 since every person has the right to think about themselves.
I said 8, he appears to be very loyal, and although some people are saying he could leave if we start having a bad season, so he can get POTY, I really don't see United doing that with all the stars coming up lol. I just hope I'm right.
