Chief executive David Gill says there is 'no chance' of Manchester United selling Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Portugal international has already netted an impressive 19 goals this season, continuing his outstanding form from United's last campaign.
Ronaldo is widely considered to be one of the best players in the world at present, and Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona would undoubtedly jump at any opportunity to purchase the 22-year-old.
However, Gill has warned off any interested parties, insisting that no matter how much is offered, The Red Devils would never part ways with their prize asset.
Happy
"There's no chance of us selling him. Absolutely no way, whatever the money," he said in The Sun.
"He signed a new contract last season to 2012 and we are not a selling club. [United boss Sir] Alex Ferguson has never let a player go when he was not happy to do so.
"Cristiano is happy here. Alex and [assistant manager] Carlos Queiroz know his mind and what he's about.
"Everything about him is Manchester United. He's like George Best, Eric Cantona.
"You can't sell players like that and we are not going to sell players like that."
Profit
Gill went on to discuss United's yearly accounts, which saw a profit of £60million on a turnover of £245million.
He said: "We knew our revenues and profits would be in excess of Arsenal's.
"We have a leading position in world sport and these results demonstrate it."
Yes the deal is until 2012, but Ronaldo can demand a transfer.
I really hope he ends up a lifer at United. I don't think he'll find a better club in the world. He's adored by the fans, staff and club. He gets paid very well and he is surrounded by class players.
United are winning trophies. What more can you want?

FOUNDER OF THE KEEP BERBATOV AWAY FROM UNITED CAMPAIGN!!!
This is great to read, and, as I've said before, there is no price that I would sell Ronaldo at. That being said, I'll be surprised if he doesn't go to Spain in 2 or 3 years. Of course, I really hope I'm wrong and that he stays at United for 8 years or more.
Well c'mon Real Madrid let the "third best player in the world" (sarcastically speaking) remain at United. You should buy"the best player, i.e. Kaka or Messi" (super-duper-truper sarcastically speaking). Ronaldo and Rooney are simply the best! Thats it!
Well, let "the third best player in the worl" (sarcasm) stay with us and Real should buy "the best player in the world, i.e. Kaka or Messi" (super-duper-truper-blooper sarcasm). Oh wait! If these players are the best, then wouldn't they play for the best team in the world? Funny that a club like Real Madrid even mention that........lol........lol........
