I disagree, Ronaldo is the faster one.
I would argue maybe because Ronaldo is a wing, and Rooney a strike, he would be needed at both sides of the picth, hence having to run alot, Rooney on the other hand, drifts around only in the Attacking half.

It is an odd question since they both have furious pace but I am voting Rooney.Maybe Ronaldo has better acceleration.

Ronaldo is faster, but not by a lot. Ronaldo's way of playing is based on speed and accuracy. He has very fast feet: when he dribbles and when he runs with the ball.

I remember a game earlier this season can't remember who against, but there was a fast break (the type i call a jailbreak) where rooney passed the ball to ronnie and ronnie took off like the wind. rooney busted a gut just trying to keep up with ronnie. A point that the BBC also mentioned.

Based on that evidence I would have to say Ronaldo is the quicker.
