There's really no doubt at all that it is Ronaldo... he's becoming the best there ever was.

So,only three.Ok.1.Rio Ferdinand-Its important for any team of this calibre to have a player like Rio,because he is the leading tower of strengh in the defense.
2.Wayne Rooney-world class striker, lethal finisher...he wants always to get more and more...even though he is not sometimes scoring,he can help his team succed. 3.Cristiano Ronaldo-The greatest midfielder in the world...if he gets a goal, you know he will be not satisfied if he got it in the first half..a lot of work..he was working hard to be were he is now...skill and balance, power and knowledge on the ball and off the ball... Thats all! |

on my mind, no.1 of course is Ronaldo, because when he is missing it seems than ManUts attack isn't so variative. no.2 is Rooney, but this is arguable because Carlito is also playing great. no.3 is Rio, because he is a pillar of our defence.

Ronaldo - he can do just about everything - charge down the wing, cross (finally), head it, works hard and, oh yeah, take free kicks ;-)
Rooney - works like a dog (how many times did he play full back against Spurs when Brown or Evra were upfield, get in centre forward type poaching positions, shoot & score (soon I hope), bulldog attitude Van der Sar (though Rio and Vidic are part of this also). At the end of the season the goal difference may be the point that makes the difference for the championship and in spite of United's age old attacking flair in that case it will be the defence that has made the difference. If it gets through Rio/Vidic then it's down to the goalie and I've seen a number of times Van der Sar has come up trumps in that situation. Plus we looked a long time for a decent goalie after Peter left. Hell, maybe he was even the difference in the goal Tevez got on Saturday, shades of Barcelona with a green shirted goalie up for a corner in extra time! ;-) |

Ronaldo is obviously our most important player, but i think apart from him this season Anderson has been fantastic. All the away games we have struggled in Bolton away, West Ham away and Spurs last week really showed how much we miss Anderson in the middle now.

1 - Rooney
2 - Scholes 3 - Ronaldo i'm loking at terms of desire, skill and workrate. i really think the first 2 speak for themselves with regards to these factors. Ronaldo is down at my number 3 because he allows his head to dip too easily if things don't go his way. I'm not accusing him of sulking - just saying in comparison to my number 1 & 2. You will always get 90+ mins of pure passion from those guys. |

Although Ronaldo's approach is even more direct than Rooney's, atm United lack forwards, so I'd say like RaRai:
1. Rooney (can hold up the ball up there, and drag 1-2 defenders with him) 2. Scholes (like in every team, the playmaker is extremely influential) 3. Ronaldo (can upen the crowded defences of smaller teams. still waiting to make a real difference in a though match)
