All of our losses came when we did not have Wayne Rooney. Our goals per game in the games that he has not played is 1. And when he has played, the number goes to 3 goals per game. It's fuck bad luck that he has had two injuries, otherwise the table'd be reflecting something else, ie, United on top.

Vidic: I have always believe Man Utd's defenders to be sorely under-rated
take bruce, Irwin who both conmmand respect from those who played against them just as Vidic does and I really believe since his arrival Rio has become a better all round because of Vidic's presence's and plus his strength in 1 on 1's. Anderson: Yes I know he is really a pup in terms of experience, but he kinda reminds me of scholes with his passing and reading of the game, plus he is everywhere when he plays and is not afraid to get stuck in and I feel he is the 1 too replace Scholes. Rooney: You just can't leave this bloke out of any top 3 as he is irreplaceable in my eyes as he brings so much to the game as his over all scoring has being mention as an issue with sum, but even when not scoring he is looking to set up others, not afraid to get back and help out and plays his heart out 4 he team. |

1. Rooney. He's not the best striker in the world, but hes pretty damn close. I'd say hes the best passing striker and easily the best defensive striker...regardless of how he compares to the rest of the worlds strikers, hes easily the most important player on the team. He's the fans favorite. He's the good luck charm.
2. Cristiano. He is simply too much for most teams to handle. He demands respect...he demands game plans to stop him...he may never go down as a ManU legend because of the Spain talk and eventual Spain transfer, but if he ever decides to just stay he could end up being arguably the best Red Devil. 3. Van Der Sar. Rio and Vidic can share in the love as well. All 3 are extensions of one another, no one knows where one ends and the other begins... Last edited by mccrank; 02-28-2008 at 06:30 PM. |
