Default Simpson joins Ipswich on loan

United defender Danny Simpson will taste life in the Championship after being allowed to join Ipswich Town on loan until the end of the season.

Simpson has played in eight matches for United this season but the last of these was at the end of January when he came on as a substitute in the FA Cup win over Tottenham.

I wish Danny all the best.

Glad Simpson will get valuable playing which he was lacking with the first team.

If this move was known earlier... say the January window, it would have made more sense to loan Simpson to a prem team so he could face epl competition.

Ah well, best of luck to him with Ipswich.

I think that's a good move. Simpson has nothing to lose and a lot to gain at Ipswich: matches, form, experience. Good luck to him. Hope he'll improve and will replace Brown, if Wes decides to leave after all.

P.S. Busby Boy why don't you quote the text of the article? Take a look at other threads!

so there is this little icon on the right and when you click that you go to the quick reply box at the bottom. qhen you click on this button you'll automatically enter this piece of text (without the periods):

[.quote]insert quoted text here [./quote].

Any text that goes in there will be automatically given a quote box around it. Here is an example:

It's also recommended (actually it is just good manners) that you add a link to your article and you can do that anywhere with the url button:

I assume he will be playing first team football? Is this true? If so good for him. I'd rather have him play first team football with a Championship League team rather than rotting on the United bench.

Now hopefully we don't end up dumping him there permanently like we did Bardsley and like we're thinking about doing with Evans...
