Default Micah Richards to Utd.

With the recent show of Utd's interest in Richards, i personally thought that it would be a good signing for us, especially as he can be a new right back to replace Neville, and can provide cover for CB. Aswell as his friendship with Rio.

tribalfootball.com - Man Utd boss Ferguson makes Man City's Richards top target

im not sure how much you lot trust tribal football, i know i never used too, but its got a bit better lately. I definatly recall the pundits mentioning it before the west ham game on the weedend though.

would you appreciate seeing him in a utd shirt?

in the future, you should probably get a link from an actual source instead of linking members to a blog. So, I'm going to remove that link and you can go and find a proper one.

For the topic on hand now. City would more than likely be extremely hesitant do business with a fierce rival for a prized asset such as Micah. Also, the transfer numbers being tossed around is over 20 million pounds.

If this deal could happen, I wouldn't be complaining. Richards is a talented defender with a lot of potential. But, I just don't see the deal happening.

I'd be shocked if it went through, and the circumstances would have to be

1) Sven is gone
2) Micah himself pushes for the deal without relief.

Here's to hoping he's a good little Judas. I'm imagining the bitter blue faces reading the headlines already...it would be excellent.

while it's rare that shiteh player's come to united (let's face it, they rarely have anything of quality) but let's not forget a certain young defender we bought in 2002 for some 30 odd million pounds from leeds. while micah is less proven, he's also younger. 25 million sounds absurd, but if you want him from a rival...ahemm...delusioned neighboring thinking of themselves as a rival, then you have to pay up.

I'd love to see ithappen. Mostly just to piss off the bitters, but he is quality. Still if the price is that absurd, I agree it's not worth it.

Richards would be a great addition to one of the worlds best back four. I think he would be a great replacement for Neville.

now that pique has gone back to barca, thats one less man in defence, and i think well need someone who can be a backup to the CB's, so Richards could fill in there if needs be. Otherwise put him in RB. He's better than brown, and considerably younger, and alot stronger.

He would also be a nice addition for when the 6 + 5 rule comes in.

James that will never be brought as it goes against all the crap the EU stands for in terms of freedom of work crap, anyway I can't see micah coming to united now with sparky in charge as he is sum1 they will look up to after what he has done as a player and a manager, and with the money being mention there are better players out there for us

ok so even if the rule doesnt come into place, its still nice to have an english precence in our team. Not to forget the fact that Richards is proven in the premiership at both RB and CB, along with his young age, you will not find any young defenders with better potential than him.

hopefully hughes will do us a favor in selling him to us. and surely Micah will be slightly unsettled by the almost certain departure of his CB partner Dunne, whos expirience has most likely helped Richards progress.

I think the window for this happening has been closed with the Hughes appointment.

I'm sure Hughes has spoken with Richards and gotten him onboard. I wouldn't be surprised if Dunne stayed as well.

If United were interested in Richards, an offer would have been placed earlier. Before City's managerial appointment.

I really do not see this happening now.
