Saha set to join Everton
French striker to complete move after medical

Everton have agreed to sign Louis Saha, subject to the Manchester United striker passing a medical.

United have accepted an undisclosed fee for the injury-prone striker, who moved to Old Trafford from Fulham in 2004.

Saha has agreed a two-year contract at Goodison Park, with the option of a further 12 months.

He must now pass a medical to become David Moyes' third signing of the summer following the arrivals of Lars Jacobsen and Segundo Castillo.

The France international has scored 42 goals in 124 appearances for United since his £12.8million switch from Fulham.

However, his time with the Red Devils has been beset by injury problems and he has not figured for the champions this season.

His last appearance for United came in March against Bolton and he started only six games in the Premier League last term.

Saha's imminent exit is likely to intensify United manager Sir Alex Ferguson's search to bring in a new striker before the transfer window closes.

So, Fergie pisses me off again. Forget about my opinion of Saha. The problem is that Fergie acted very silly, just like last year.

Now we have only 2 strikers with experience, Berbatov is as close to coming to OT as he was a month ago, Huntelaar wants to learn from Van Basten (and I can't blame him). And in a month or two Fergie will start complaining that he needs more strikers. What the fuck was he thinking when he approved this move???

Look at Juan De Ramos, he said he won't be selling Berbatov until he has a replacement for him. And days after this statement Fergie does this shit.

If we won't sign another striker, I'm gonna write an article on Fergie's hypocrisy, 'cause I'm really pissed!!!

Sorry I can't really agree with you. It makes all the sense in the world, and you have to realize you're basing your opinion on incomplete facts. What do you really know about Saha's mindset or desires? Maybe he felt he needed a new start? I don't blame the lad really. At 30 with this many injuries and with strikers coming in, he wasn't going make it.

What's annoying is that we go rid of Rossi, because we thought Saha would be fit last season.

At the end of the day, the professional game of football is a business.

If you don't show up to perform, the chances of you sticking around are slim to none. Saha was given more than enough time to get back to fitness and he just wasn't able to do it in a timely fashion.

While I wanted Saha to stay due to his style of game matching United's perfectly, the sad reality is he can't stay fit.

Wishing Saha nothing but the best and hopefully an injury free latter part of his career.

It has nothing to do with Saha's mindset or desires. He said he wants to stay. It's all about Fergie: last year he sold Rossi, though the lad implored him to stay. Plus we did not have a replacement for him. And on top of this we sold Smudge too.

This year he sells Saha. That means Campbell stays. Sorry, but you can't compare him with Louis. Now we have only two strikers we can count on: Rooney and Tevez. Manucho is still recovering, Le Slave is recovering too. Rooney is not in the best form and more of a midfielder. Which leaves us with Carlitos only.
