not everyone who scores bags of goals in Holland does well over here, Kalou and Kuyt are two that spring to mind but saying that i'd be happy to add him to our strike force from what I've seen he seems liek a talented lad he may not have a lot of pace but nither did RVN, I rate Saha when he's fully fit he's class but he just isnt reliable his knee is to troublesome.

Huntelaar is certainly a gamble for United.

If signed he will be new to the Premier League as Eredivisie is so very different from it.

But I think he'll be great given time. Unted are known for grooming and making wonderful strinkers. He'll get better under the guidence of Ferguson. And United deffinetly need another striker, someone tall, fast and agile - someone like Hunter

Ive always rated Huntelaar to be honest. He's shown he can score goals in Holland and on an international level so i don't see why he cannot do it in the Premiership. I think Saha is looking as if he is on his last legs now at United and if we dont seem to be going for Berbatov now i think United signing Huntelaar can be a real possiblity.

A few of my fellow Dutchmen have been praising this young man for the last year or 2, who's done a good service for Ajax. He might not be the best man in the team but really you never know when you have Alex backing someone, they can turn into some kind of monster sometimes...
And as others said, it's more about having the optional striker rather than only having 2 certainties and not being able to rest them as much as you like.

Well I mean he's good in the sense that he scores goals, you could probably equate him to Ruud Van Nistelrooy where he finishes on target 9 times out of 10 and will be deadly inside the box from any delivery/pass, but isn't someone who will run 30 yards to create something. He's a better finisher than Ruud I believe, but that style player can be so helpful for a creative team.

City, Pool, Sunderland, Blackburn and United were reported to have scouts at Huntelaar's last game.

I can understand United and maybe City and Blackburn having scouts there, but why Pool?

They have "worldbeaters" Torres, Kuyt, Vronin and Crouch.

Quote:
A trio of Premier League sides dispatched scouts to run the rule over Ajax striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar at the weekend.

The likes of Manchester United and City, along with Liverpool, all wanted to know how the Holland international is performing.

They are unlikely to be have been disappointed with Huntelaar after he netted a brace in Ajax's convincing 6-1 romp over AZ Alkmaar.

Huntelaar, 24, has been capped nine times by his country and has an impressive 55 goals from just 66 appearances for the Amsterdam giants following his switch from Heerenveen.

The striker was not the only player to come under the microscope, with keeper Maarten Stekelenburg being watched again by a scout from Tottenham.

Paul Robinson's future at White Hart Lane has come under question of late after being dropped by Juande Ramos, with Radek Cerny being given a chance between the sticks.

Representatives from both Blackburn and Sunderland were also reportedly on hand to view Ajax's clash with AZ, although it remains unclear who they were watching.

Thank's for the highlights, dada. AZ's defense is just as bad as Newcastle's.

saha is too injury prone to be considred a relaible option....rooney and tevez cant play every match....and there is no one else...u can play ronaldo as striker..even giggs...but we do need a good targetman...sumone like ruud...thats d only thing missing from this fantatic team...an out n out striker
m nt saying..rooney and tevez are nt good strikers...but they r more forward players...who like to play behind the main striker..and thats where they r most dangerous...if they get some one like hunellar for company upfront...united can just ter apart defences across europe(which we r doin right now also )
