Scudamore: Hearing confirmed

Premier League chief Richard Scudamore has confirmed they will hear the Gabriel Heinze case.

However, he has played down talk of a specially convened panel, revealing it will be the board of the Premier League that are to look at the on-going saga involving Heinze, Manchester United and Liverpool.

United are refusing to let Heinze join Liverpool and the player is now calling on the Premier League to resolve the issue, with the hope they will give him the green-light to move from Old Trafford to Anfield.

Board not panel

"Everyone gets the phrases mixed-up a little bit," Scudamore explained on Sky Sports News.

"Quite frankly a normal club or player dispute comes before the Board of the Premier League
"As often we do appoint a different person to hear rather than myself. Therefore I won't be sitting on that one."

Result soon
Scudamore thinks the case will be heard soon.
"I think it'll all be resolved before the end of the transfer window," he continued.
"All parties want it resolved quickly. The machinery is in place to do that."
He also insisted that the board ruling on such a matter was not an unusual occurrence.

"We do this all the time. Often player disputes, if you look through our board minutes, any board meeting, we're dealing with various club/player disputes," he concluded.

"We do these five, six, seven, eight times every month. It's not a new unique thing. It's high-profile, it's two high-profile clubs and a high-profile player."
whats up with gabby, maybe he caught disease or its that period of time in the month or something....

seriously of all the useless clubs in the world who would take him off us, he has to choose pool....

i want to point out that heinze, is only going to camp etc. because he's contractually liable. it's not a good idea to break a contract, when you yourself are fighting to have it terminate. He's definitely getting good advice.

I just can't believe he's a judas

Come on Lyon.... bid higher than the valuation.. you know you want to do it...

Best news yet that another team is interested.

Still doesn't take away the disgust I have in Heinze for wanting to go to Liverspain... judas...

Quote:
Perrin drops Heinze hint

Lyon coach Alain Perrin has hinted at an interest in signing Manchester United defender Gabriel Heinze.

Perrin is looking to add to his back-line after losing captain Cris for six months due to a serious knee injury.

Heinze has emerged as an option for the French champions, with the Argentine facing an uncertain future at Old Trafford.

The Premier League is currently looking into his situation, with Liverpool keen to sign the player, but United unwilling to sell to their arch-rivals.

A move to Lyon could be seen as a compromise, with Perrin assessing whether Heinze would be a suitable replacement for Cris at centre-half.

Right profile

"The long unavailability of our captain is added to that of Gregory Coupet and Fred, which means three key players of the team," Perrin told L'Equipe.

"Our job is to look for, and find, the best replacement for Cris.

"The problem is that there are not a lot of players who could join us.

"The best thing would be to find a player able to play as a left central defender, and it is even more difficult to find.

"Gabriel Heinze? He has the right profile.

"Above all, we have to know if, after playing a big part of his career as a left full-back, he now wants to play regularly as a central defender."

Default Heinze planned Palace coup

So Benitez was crying about how the EPL has been treating LiverSpain over there deal with Heinze and games played.

Anyways, he has reason to be upset... seems LiverSpain have been caught with there hand in the cookie jar. I hope United and/or the epl punish them for this.

As for Judas...

Quote:
Under the proposal made to Palace, the Argentina defender would have first been bought by the south London club and then sold on to Liverpool.

The bid was revealed in evidence given to a Premier League panel earlier this week by Palace chief executive Phil Alexander.

It is understood Alexander confirmed to the panel that a proposed scheme had been put forward by Heinze's representatives to secure the eventual transfer of the defender to Liverpool by initially transferring him to Palace.

The panel went on to reject Heinze's bid to force United to sell him to Liverpool.

The 29-year-old claimed United had written a letter allowing him to leave if another club offered a fee of £6.8million.

The panel dismissed Heinze's case and backed United, who maintained they made it clear to the 29-year-old both orally and in writing that he would not be permitted to join one of their title rivals.

Heinze is appealing against the panel's decision but it now seems if he is intent on leaving United before the transfer window closes he will have to move abroad - although West Ham could match his wage demands and are watching with interest to see the outcome of his appeal.

Real Madrid have been linked with Heinze, while French club Lyon are also keen on signing the player - who has become unsettled after losing his United first-team place to Patrice Evra.

EDIT:

it seems that Real Madrid have made a bid of 8 million pounds for the Judas... bye, bye...

Quote:
Real Madrid have agreed a fee of around £8million with Manchester United for wantaway defender Gabriel Heinze, according to reports in Spain.

Spanish newspaper Marca claims that a fee of around 12 million euros has been agreed between the two clubs for the Argentine left-back, who has been prevented from joining Liverpool.

It is thought United are happy to sell him to a club outside of the Premier League and so it could be up to Heinze whether he wants to return to Spain.

The Argentine star is apparently planning an appeal against the Premier League ruling which denies him the chance to join Liverpool.

He could be faced with a tough decision - take the exit route to Madrid or pin all his hopes on an appeal that could fail and see him stuck at Old Trafford.

Default FAPL ponders Heinze row

oh, you thought this was over?

Would make my day if Liverscum is disciplined over this.

hmmm... should I do this... waiting for the response.

Quote:
PREMIER League chiefs will this week seek to get to the bottom of United's row with Liverpool over Gabriel Heinze.

Reds' boss Sir Alex Ferguson promised that United wouldn't let the matter rest after the Anfield club tried to sign the Argentine left back.

A tapping up incident appeared to be at the centre of United's fury. The Reds had already told Heinze's agents that he wouldn't be sold to any Premiership title rival. The South American's handlers contested United's stance but a League tribunal ruled in United's favour and Heinze immediately switched to Real Madrid after the decision.

Old Trafford chief executive David Gill has written to the Premier League complaining about Liverpool's conduct in the case and it could lead to a charge for the Merseysiders.

They also face another League probe over the Heinze affair.

It is claimed that Crystal Palace were asked by Liverpool to sign the left back and then immediately transfer him on to Anfield in a bid to get round United's decision.

The London club didn't want any involvement in the issue and informed the Premier League. The League are now set to discuss the Palace plot and if Liverpool are found guilty, the case will be handed on to the Football Association and the Anfield club could face another hefty fine.

I know this is an old post, but I just need to have my say. Heinze, you are a disgrace to the fans who once held you dear, I am glad you have gone, and wish you failure in your travels. Your actions have proven you are not worthy of the respect of this great club, goodbye, I doubt you will live long in our memory.
