Debunking the Obama hype

Obama walks arrogance line

Obama Confronts Racial Division

What a surprise: nothing of substance and some grandiose rhetoric. Pretty much standard operating procedure for the Jr. Senator from Illinois there.

Even if I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt, this "pastor" has been claimed to as his spiritual and life mentor, a father figure, the man who officiated at his wedding, the man who baptized his children, the man who inspired his writings (which in turn has galvanized the support for his "revolutionary" run). Upon further review, all of a sudden I'm supposed to believe he never heard "Pastor" Wright's inflammatory, divisive, racist, and xenophobic teachings? And he explains it away with the "crazy uncle" theory?

Slick, but you're not fooling me, Senator. Not that I needed this flap to question your acumen anyway, not after looking deeper into your platform and your voting record.

A great uniter........a great speaker, for sure, but a great uniter? You can't even bring the liberals on your side of the fence together and you subscribe to a theology that prides itself on ethnocentrism.

I don't disagree that there is some fence riding that he's doing, but the speach has some very accurate reflections on how race is handled in this country. Now I can question his motivations and I do, but right now, just as a speach, it was brilliant. I don't like the mans politics, I don't like his party (particularly his side of the party), but that speach did exactly what he needed it to do. It forces Hillary to stfu which is by itself a reason to call it brilliant, it's stunningly well organized and flows very well (all the credit goes to the young academics who wrote it for him), but even more it was spun the accurate reflections about race, made a call to the country and particularly the media to stopping being such muppets about race, and then wrapped it in his own muppet spin. Furthermore, it has definitively labeled Obama as the "intellegent" candidate. That is incredibly refreshing in a political landscape full of fucking idiots. He might have just taken his weakest topic and turned it into a strength in PA. I'm more impressed that he didn't just throw the Wright over a cliff. Well done Barack. Here's to hoping this aids you in absolutely destroying the cunt on the 22nd of April.

That speech was a whole lot of nothing new under the sun. Of course, there's already the comparisons to JFK's speech about his Catholicism during his campaign. The Democrats simply cannot get over the Kennedy Legend, it seems.

Pffffft..........it doesn't take much to see right through him. Of course, many have already drank the media kool-aid.

it's a good thing.

the tougher hillary has it the better. as for his intelligence. the guy is intelligent. graduate from columbia and harvard law and was the harvard law review editor in chief. dude is smart and that is beyond doubt. whether he's full of shit, well that's beyond doubt (at least in my mind). this speach though was politically brilliant. end of
